The "CS" comes from the founder's grandfather on his mother’s side, Don Csutoras. When people did not know how to pronounce his last name he would say, “Pronounced like Shoot-or-Wrist." Grandpa Csutoras had a remarkable history, with ancestors who worked as hired gunmen, providing protection for settlers crossing through dangerous territories.
In the early days, CS Gunworks focused on gunsmithing services, tactical gear and optics. Due to Mike's extensive expertise in shooting, optics and gear knowledge, the business quickly became a trusted resource for recreational shooters, law enforcement, and military personnel. Over the years, as the demand for tactical gear and expert knowledge in these fields grew, CS Tactical continued to expand its services.
